Carl goes to Italy - part IV - Camogli

On the train again! Here I am trying a new position.
We met Marco and Valeria (and their cat Jill) in Recco. Here, Marco is preparing the dinner, and dad is just having a good time!
The view from Marco's and Valeria's balcony was fantastic!
The houses in Camogli were fun. Painted details. Look at this fake window, with a fake cat! It looks so real...
Our favortite focacceria!
This is the port in Camogli.
Time for a cappuccino.
Funny, I tried to smell the flowers on Mom's t-shirt. But they don't smell...
It's our hotel down to the left. These stairs are from the railway station.
I was having fun in Camogli!!!
We went to Cinque Terre. This is Monterosso!
And a beer break, of course. Dad says it's necessary with the minerals when it's hot...
Vernazza is another of the Cinque Terre villages.
We thought we could walk. But gave up after 30 minutes...
And took the train instead. So here we are in Vernazza.
On the train station in Vernazza.
And here comes our train!
Back in Camogli. In the harbor again!
Knitting is my thing!!!
Daddy playing with the camera and the reflections in the water.
We took the boat to San Fruttuoso, so this is the view of Camogli from the see.
And this is San Fruttuoso. A small village with no cars or roads. You can only go there with boat or by foot.
In the harbor.
We had dinner with Marco and Valeria in a restaurant specialised in mushrooms. Mom and Dad said it was great! Here Marco is giving Dad instructions about what to do in Genova.
And here are Valeria, Mom and Grandmother.
I'm becoming an expert in train stations. This one was really nice. Camogli is 20-30 kilometres from Genova, so it's a nice train ride. Short :-)
Genova. What a big city!
With nice houses!
Christopher Columbus was born here.
The sign says it all.
Mom loved the details on the houses and churches!
Details!
Church!
Piazza Ferrari.
Look at this ceiling. Wow.
At the "Mercato Oriental", we found more peppers! Dad did some serious shopping.
Not only details, also lots of neon signs.
I want to read the map too!!!
Assarotti was our hotel. It was really good and clean!
Here is Via Assarotti. The street!
Genova has so many hills, so walking can be hard...
We found some nice art from art students. This is in a path under the street.
Genova airport is small. So maybe I can handle the tickets? No...

Back at Arlanda in Stockholm. Grandmother's bag got lost in Paris, but it has come to Stockholm now. So everything is back to normal.

The End
