Carl goes to Italy - part II -Sorrento

We were in Diamante for only one day, so on the Sunday we took the train back to Napoli. But we were heading for Sorrento.

No direct trains. We had to change before Napoli, and take another train, the Circumvesuviana. And that's another station. What an adventure!

At the Circumvesuviana station, the train didn't go to Sorrento. They said it was a bomb on the station in Sorrento, so everyone had to take the bus.

This was really hard, because there were no information at all, and no one knew when the buses went, or even if they would come...

But a bus came, and we made it, and were really lucky to end up in Sorrento that night. It's a scary bus ride. Really high up on the mountains.

Here I am at the bus. Just waking up after a good sleep...
Grandmother has always wanted to see Capri, so we went there the day after. A beautiful island with fantastic views.
It was a long walk to the city on the top of the mountain...
Grandmother shopping post cards.
The boat back to Sorrento broke, so we had to take another boat. But the new one was nicer, and we could sit on the deck.
Dad was surprised to find peppers in Sorrento :-)
We needed a beer, so we ordered two big ones. They were really big. One litre each!
After the beer, I decided to check the scarves. Yes, the quality was ok.
This is the main square in Sorrento. Piazza Tasso.
Dad waiting for a beer.
Yepp, there it came! Everyone was happy again!
